About our President and Founder

Steven Greenberg, president and founder of Voyages Real Estate, is from a small town in a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Over the years, he had the opportunity to travel extensively while working on an international level throughout the major capitals of Europe, as well as much of the Indian Subcontinent. This gave him an opportunity to not only meet and work with the people of these lands up close, but to also experience some of the most exotic destinations of the world. 

Being back in the US a few years, and in the process of developing his own corporation, he became interested in experiencing an area of the Caribbean that was new and yet still somewhat undiscovered. On the recommendation of a close family member who had recently visited the Dominican Republic and had come back extolling its beauty and charm, he booked a trip to the northern part of the island, landing in Puerto Plata. 

He stayed in a small coastal tourist town called Sosua. Becoming immediately enthralled with the beauty and magic of the Dominican Republic, and the gentleness and warm hospitality of its people, he set out to explore the entire northern coastline. 
After traveling from Sosua to Cabarete, and various areas of the northern seacoast, he took the opportunity to visit many of its secluded and untouched beaches, with balmy palm trees, pure white sand, and aqua blue water.

It was hard for him to believe that this beautiful paradise of the Caribbean had not yet been discovered, but was relatively quiet with just a gentle flow of tourists from the US and Europe. The nights spent strolling under the stars along the tranquil beaches gave him a certain respite from this crazy world. The carefree lifestyle of its Latin inhabitants, with their music, dancing and carefree manner served to help give him a new outlook on life. 

He began to be interested in purchasing his own little getaway place, so as to be able to return to the island on more frequent occasions, and was amazed at how inexpensive it was to buy an apartment or house. His keen interest and enthusiasm for the Dominican Republic developed into a new business venture in an area he had never dreamed of! 

Soon he was actively involved in not only a land that he had fell in love with, but a booming real estate market that holds incredible promise.
